Who We Are

What We Collect

When you submit the free guide request form on this site, we collect:

• Email address (required) — used to deliver the free guide and send occasional updates
• First name (optional) — used to personalize emails
• IP address and device/browser information — collected automatically by our email platform (Mautic) as part of form processing

When you use the contact form, we collect your email address, subject, message, and—if provided—your first name. We use these details only to receive and respond to your enquiry. Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing.

We do not collect payment information. Please do not submit medical, financial, payment, or other sensitive information.

How We Use It

Information you provide is used to:

• Deliver the requested free guide to your inbox
• Send occasional emails about new Claire Sutton books, updates, or resources
• Receive and respond to messages sent through the contact form

We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services:

• Mautic (self-hosted form and email platform) — processes free-guide requests and contact enquiries. Contact submissions, including name, email, subject, message, network, and device information, are stored on infrastructure we control and emailed to Claire. They receive an operational contact-enquiry marker and are kept in a separate contact segment, which is excluded from newsletter targeting and promotional campaigns.
• Google Analytics — only loads if you accept the cookie banner. See "Cookies & Google Analytics" below.
• Locally hosted fonts — this site serves its typefaces directly and does not contact Google Fonts when pages load.
• Amazon — this site contains links to Amazon product pages. Clicking those links takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for Amazon's data practices.

Browser Storage

This site uses your browser's localStorage to record which Amazon links you click (e.g., "Buy Now" or "Author Page"), along with the time of the click. This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Website Analytics (First-Party)

We run simple, first-party analytics that we built and host ourselves — not a third-party service. It records the page you visited, the referring site (if any), and your approximate country (derived from your network location, never your exact address), so we can see which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. It does not use cookies, does not use a persistent visitor ID, and cannot be used to identify or track you individually or across other websites. This data is never shared with or sold to advertisers. It runs regardless of your cookie choice below, since it does not use cookies.

Cookies & Google Analytics

On your first visit, a small banner asks whether you're okay with Google Analytics. Nothing from Google loads until you click "Accept" — if you click "Decline" or close the banner without choosing, no Google script or cookie is ever set, and the site works exactly the same either way.

If you accept, this site loads Google's gtag.js (Google Analytics), which sets cookies in your browser and sends your page views to Google. Our Google Analytics property is linked to Google Ads, which lets Google build remarketing audiences from analytics visitors — if you've seen a Claire Sutton ad elsewhere after visiting this site, this is why. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (Google Analytics cookies are removed along with it) and reloading the page, which shows the banner again.

Email and CAN-SPAM Compliance

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We will honor all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Our mailing address is included in every commercial email as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

California Residents — Your CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information

Data Retention

We retain free-guide subscriber details until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep necessary correspondence records, or meet legal obligations. To request deletion of your data, use the contact form or email [email protected]; we will remove eligible information within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
